Developing a Single Source Guide to UAE Exports:

The Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC), based on the organisation’s strategic objectives of developing exports and opening new markets for the local exporters, has launched the ‘UAE Exports and Industry Directory’, an initiative that will provide local and international buyers and importers easy access to the products in the UAE. The directory provides information about nationally manufactured products as well as export regulations, industrial legislation and laws, including procedures for establishing projects, thus allowing UAE  companies to compete and enter in international markets.

The UAE Exports and Industry Directory is the first of its kind in the region which uses the Harmonised System Code (H.S. Code), an international and scientific method of unifying the classification of goods for international trading purposes. The UAE products, categorised using HS Code, in this directory, enable easy identification for local and international buyers to help source their requirements from UAE companies.

Due to the extreme significance of this project, the first edition of the UAE Export and Industry Directory, published in both English and Arabic, is available on print, in CD format, as well as on website, thus making it accessible to all.

The directory is one of the most important resource materials for the industrial sector and has included information on other services  such as banking, insurance, transportation and importers industry of industrial equipment and raw materials.

The UAE is undertaking various means to diversify its GDP and one of the means is to strengthen the export industry of the country by supporting the industrial sector and traders in expanding their reach to new markets. We hope that this project serves as an important factor in the development of the national economy of the country and eventually contribute to the UAE’s GDP.
The “UAE Export and Industry Directory” not only provides the correct information and complete list of products in the country, but also include geographical and sector classifications of all industries as well as complete details concerning products of the participating establishments in the Emirates. This directory will serve as the official industrial and economical reference for the industrial sector in the UAE as well as  importers, regionally and internationally.
